She released her debut single Here in the year 2015. She was only aged 19. It went down a storm and was praised by the public and from critics. The song peaked at 19th among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it among the best tracks of the year. In that same year she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third song Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which reached the top of Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. This particular song was special as it was inspired by her interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners were inspired by her story through self-doubt and discovering how to be a better person. Cara's music is known for her messages of love in self-love, and mental wellbeing. Everything stems from her personal experience as she been battling mental health issues and insomnia. According to a Reuters Interview, her album is described as tumultuous yet perfected. Therapy helped her grow and urges people to try it too. Alessia Cara, a Canadian performer, was born in Canada 11 July 1996, is a daughter of Italian descent parents. At the age of 10 young, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the basis in her music passion. As a teenager she began covering music she enjoyed on YouTube for the purpose of showing viewers that she had the talent to be a singer and had the courage to pursue a career as a musician. One of her cover songs Sweater Weather could be the song that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to record and compose the songs she composed.
